Lilaj

A kid, because of his parents' separation, became a wanderer, hung out with bad company, and got into gambling. Later, he secretly enters his mother's house, who has a gambler husband. There, a mutual attraction develops between him and his mother's daughter, but the young man loses everything in a series of events. When he's hopeless and has given up on life, his mother recognizes him, and from then on, they start a new life together.

Directed by Iraj Ghaderi, Lilaj leans on a strong ensemble — Iraj Ghaderi, Azar Hekmat Shoar, Ali Azad — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about screen titles of 1967.
