Alex, a cinephile, is a college kid who is mocked by his professor and his classmates for his film he presented. When he gets in touch with a girl named Paula, who doesn’t seem to have a penchant for cinema, it becomes the last straw for him as he goes on to make a disturbing presentation.
Directed by Jorge Monsivais, Cinema According to Alex leans on a strong ensemble — Manuel Eloy Morales, Magali Vasquez, Fernando Piña — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
