Three years have passed since Joji Uehara lost his father and took over his eatery "Yurie". Despite Joji's impressive culinary skills, his business continues to dwindle. One day, Kim Joo-ri, who came from South Korea to learn Japanese cuisine, arrives at the restaurant by coincidence. Although they clash over their differing values, the two of them gradually become closer as they work together to revive the struggling business. Guided by Kim's charmingly unconventional approach to life, the people around her begin to break free from their rigid minds.
Directed by Minami Ikemoto, YURIE leans on a strong ensemble — Sho Aoyagi, Ha Yeon-soo, Yugo Mikawa — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 2026.
