Aki had been living in Tokyo, but grew tired of that life and returned home to help out at her parents' photo exhibition. Meanwhile, Yusuke, Shinji, and Setsuro, who work at a supermarket, lament the lack of opportunities to meet people in the countryside. So Yusuke invites Aki, who is a neighbor, to a camping blind date.
Directed by Tetsuya Takehora, Yagai rankô: Koroshitai hodo aishiteru leans on a strong ensemble — Ayaka Tomoda, Misa Wada, Azusa Sakai — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about screen titles of 2014.
