Asuka (and Tatsuya, childhood friends who promised to marry each other since they were kids, finally get married. However, the school Asuka attends is also the same school where Tatsuya, now a teacher, has been newly assigned. Akiko, a classmate who has a crush on Tatsuya, Goro, who is infatuated with Asuka at first sight, and Manami, a neighbor who is on the verge of exploding with frustration and unilaterally pursuing Tatsuya, all catch wind of their relationship, leading to a huge commotion.
Directed by Minoru Kunizawa, Shinkon seikyôiku: Seifuku no hanayome leans on a strong ensemble — Mayura Hoshizuki, Kanae Mizuhara, Yui Komine — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about screen titles of 2006.
