After the sudden loss of her parents, 12-year-old İrem moves in with her estranged grandmother on a semi-industrial dairy farm. As she witnesses the routine separation of newborn calves from their mothers, İrem becomes increasingly troubled by the quiet violence embedded in everyday practice to gain more milk. This unsettling realization leads her to make a small but radical decision: to free the pregnant cows from the farm, with the help of Halid, an orphan apprenticed to the farm’s veterinarian.
Directed by Elif Eda Karagöz, The Farm leans on a strong ensemble — Mira Saikali, Derya Alabora, Ediz Metin — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 2026.
