About this strange trailer and its inhabitants - 16-year-old homeless Anton, his friend, his peer Shaban, two sisters Zoya and Shurochka, interned German Fischer-Rybakov, their ordeal in the vast Siberia, far from the front.
Directed by Valeriy Kharchenko, Leaves Flying in the Wind leans on a strong ensemble — Anna Levanova, Pavel Buynakov, Aleksey Devotchenko — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 2013.
