About Aniyome no tanima: Binkan iroppoi
Shota had graduated from a local university but was unemployed and living a life of unemployment while continuing his relationship with Yukari, the young widow next door. However, when Yukari's pregnancy was discovered, she pressured him to marry her. Shota, who had no intention of getting married in the first place, fled to Tokyo and went to live with his older brother, Yoichi. But there, he found that Kaoru, his former classmate and crush, had married Yoichi.
Directed by Kazuyoshi Sekine, Aniyome no tanima: Binkan iroppoi leans on a strong ensemble — Rinako Hirasawa, Riri Kouda, Lemon Hanazawa — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about screen titles of 2008.
