About Shadows in Puppets
Nara, a mute and paralyzed teenager who lost her father after a tragic accident 2 years ago, lives in silence and isolation. Amidst family tensions, she finds a puppet inherited from her ancestors and begins to hear a mysterious voice called Arsaka. Through the guidance of the shadow, Nara learns that the voice of the heart and cultural heritage can be a bridge to reunite a family that is almost torn apart. A simple puppet show becomes a new language that reconnects love and understanding between them.
Directed by Dimas Aditya, Shadows in Puppets leans on a strong ensemble — Mey Deana, Umi Lestari, Zea Syaqilla Khairani — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
