The Trade In Emotional Goods

Luukas Kolibri is a trader in emotional goods. Together with his only employee, Geoffrey Raeymaekers, he clears out the homes of the deceased and gives their belongings a new purpose. But Luukas is struggling with a loss of his own: his girlfriend Elise has just passed away, and he finds it impossible to let go. As he begins collecting and holding onto her possessions, his grief slowly spirals into a dangerous obsession. Will Luukas be able to come to terms with Elise’s death, or will his fixation consume him entirely?

Directed by Frank Tielemans, The Trade In Emotional Goods leans on a strong ensemble — Karel Tuytschaever, Guido De Craene, Kristine Arras — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
