About Far End of the Sea
Washed ashore on a small island in the Pacific, shipwrecked Scottish sailor, Hamish MacKay, is quickly taken captive by local islander Adiben. On route back to Adiben’s village where an ill fate certainly awaits him, Hamish must figure out a way to escape his captor. At the same time, Adiben must make an impossible choice: to fulfil his responsibility to his people or to help a stranger lost at the far end of the sea.
Directed by Matthew Holmes, Far End of the Sea leans on a strong ensemble — Jamie Coffa, Cramer Cain, Redrose Tamakin — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about history titles of 2026.
