About Lament
Sibel, an art student, is exhausted from studying so hard to pass her class; she is drawing alone in the studio late at night. She realizes that her drawings, based on real-life references, are strange and—for some reason she cannot fathom—suddenly begin to alter reality. Fascinated and excited, Sibel thoughtlessly causes changes around her in an attempt to test the limits of this anomaly. However, in the process, she accidentally locks herself in the room. What she doesn’t realize is that there are other things in the room she wasn’t expecting.
Directed by Duygu Kasapoğlu, Lament leans on a strong ensemble — Sibel Kasapoğlu — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
