About Hantu Karaoke
Abu Bakar, who goes to the karaoke center to alleviate his sadness, meets Cumi, a woman who is inside a karaoke room and sings with him. However, Abu Bakar is unaware that Cumi is the woman who choked on peanuts while singing in the karaoke room and was thrown into a pit by her boyfriend. Abu Bakar is shocked, frightened, and tries to run, but Cumi stops him and pleads to help her complete her body.
Directed by Bade Hj. Azmi, Hantu Karaoke leans on a strong ensemble — Hazama Azmi, Nur Nabila Mohd Razali, Adeline Tsen — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about comedy titles of 2022.
