Tomato Report 3: The Aphrodisiac of Temptation

A two-part story. In "Let's Start from the Worst Day," the virgin Kyoko writes for an erotic magazine. She faces marriage, a returning boyfriend, and the attentions of her editor. In "On a Beloved Street Corner," a man (whose wife cheated on him) is approached on the street by Yoko. She awakens his desire and public filming. But who sent her?

Directed by Shinji Imaoka, Tomato Report 3: The Aphrodisiac of Temptation leans on a strong ensemble — Yumi Kanzaki, Yohta Kawase, Yumika Hayashi — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about screen titles of 1998.
