About Star Trek: Voyager - Basics
The Federation starship Voyager, alone in the Delta Quadrant, is lured into a trap which leads to the ship being commandeered by the hostile Kazon, who forcibly remove the ship's crew to an inhospitable planet. The Star Trek: Voyager – Movies were a short series of VHS releases from Paramount Home Entertainment, released in the UK in 2000 and 2001. Four volumes were produced, each one taking two two-part episodes, and making them feature-length. Basics appeared on Volume 1.
Directed by Winrich Kolbe, Star Trek: Voyager - Basics leans on a strong ensemble — Kate Mulgrew, Robert Beltran, Roxann Dawson — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about science fiction titles of 1996.
