Birdcall

Years after an avian-spread disease forces humanity into secluded cities, a foolhardy scientist and his wife, a wayward survivor, spend a night at a cabin outside of their compound. Recently infected and unbeknownst to his partner, he uses their seclusion as a trial run for his untested cure.

Directed by Justin Calandriello, Birdcall leans on a strong ensemble — Sam Beaton, Vassiliki Gicopoulos, Casey Marie Ecker — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about horror titles of 2026.
