
Fung and Pan, two policewomen, are assigned to protect a gangster's mistress turned police informant. Her lover orders her assassination, but the attempt fails. In a desperate bid to prevent her going to court, he threatens to kill Pan's stepfather. Pan has no choice but to leave the police force in order to protect her family and seek her revenge.
Directed by Godfrey Ho, Princess Madam leans on a strong ensemble — Moon Lee, Sharon Yeung, Michiko Nishiwaki — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about action titles of 1989.

Ko Chow is an undercover cop who is under pressure from all sides. His boss, Inspector Lau, wants him to infiltrate a gang of ruthless jewel thieves; his girlfriend wants him to commit to marriage or she will leave Hong Kong with another lover; and he is being pursued by other cops who are unaware that he is a colleague.
