Rico, a young man raised in Melbourne, and Santun, the pious daughter of a respected Islamic boarding school leader (Kiai Umar), fall deeply in love despite coming from different worlds. Through Santun, Rico learns to appreciate religious values, and they both view their relationship as a form of worship. However, their romance faces a major obstacle: Santun's father has already betrothed her to Ustad Salman, the man her parents chose for her.

Directed by Jastis Arimba, Ibadah & Cinta leans on a strong ensemble — Achmad Megantara, Indah Permatasari, Adhin Abdul Hakim — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
