Tina bears her parents' debt and is forced to follow the lender's instructions, Camel, by disguising herself as a maid in the house of a widowed single father, Mukhriz, in order to steal a painting belonging to Mukhriz worth RM8 million to settle her debt. Their mission fails because the Mukhriz they were targeting is not the Mukhriz who is Tina's employer. The painting thought to be worth RM8 million is actually a painting by Mukhriz's child.
Directed by Ben Hosing, Orang Gaji Ke 19 leans on a strong ensemble — Adriana Adnan, Josiah Hogan, Ain Sufia — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
