About Kasih Abang
The encounter between Adam, a street painter, and Wani, a wealthy man's daughter, helps unravel the search for his younger brother, Idris, since they were separated 18 years ago. The separation occurred when their mother, who was forced to become a drug mule to pay off their late father's debts, refused to continue with the illegal work and was subsequently killed like their father. Adam hid Idris away and then returned home to save their mother, but his attempt failed.
Directed by Amie Maziah Abdul Rahman, Kasih Abang leans on a strong ensemble — Muaz Fitri, Aman Aziz, Halim Radzi — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about screen titles of 2022.
