It tells the story of the main character Teacher Aishah, a tuition teacher at Abdullah Hukum Apartment, who has planned an independence activity in the Abdullah Hukum Apartment community by organizing a storytelling competition about My Independence Hero.

Directed by Dato Jurey Latiff Rosli, Pondok Merdeka leans on a strong ensemble — Nadia Brian, Ungku Haris, Susila Devi — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
