Kenichi Nonoyama, a new teacher at Seiun Academy, is late on his first day. To make matters worse, he falls for a student's prank and loses face completely. After getting into a brawl, he is appointed advisor to the weak soccer club. Meanwhile, Shiina, a 42-year-old who has failed his entrance exams and is now 60, is invited by Kenichi to join the soccer club.
Directed by Minoru Kawasaki, 60 Years Old High School Student leans on a strong ensemble — Ippei Hikaru, Kiichi Naoe, Taisei Ishida — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
