
The story of a young man named Zahim who is forced to disguise himself as a son to Zaiton, or Mak Ton, taken from his elderly parents' home in order to make a mother happy who deeply misses her children. Mak Ton was once in a coma while at a nursing home. As a result, she lost her memory and could not remember the faces of her three children.
Directed by Wan Cromok, Pulang Yang Dirindui leans on a strong ensemble — Ku Fridah, Shaharuddin Thamby, Zoey Rahman — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about screen titles of 2022.
