About The Infected Area of Mara and Zharko
Igor and Klementina are a young couple who are in preparation for their wedding day. However, in meanwhile, they somehow get some kind of infection on their genitals, and they decide to go and do some medical exams without telling to each other. After the examination, they accidentally meet in the corridor of the hospital. On that same day, their parents come to visit them, to see how going preparations for the wedding day are. Klementina is convinced that Igor has cheated on her, but Igor is also convinced that Klementina had betrayed him, and their parents are convinced that they are hiding some secret and they are hoping that Klementina is pregnant.
Directed by Aleksandar Arsovski, The Infected Area of Mara and Zharko leans on a strong ensemble — Irena Ilievska, Žarko Spasovski, Slobodanka Čičevska — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 2018.
