The story tells of Samad (Sahronizam) and Sabariah (Sherie Merlis) who are united against the pressure of their families. This forced marriage has damaged Sabariah's relationship with Samad. Sabariah hates her children because she does not love Samad, who often mistreats her. Idris (Nafiz Muaz) is born with a disability in his legs. He is hated and not acknowledged as a child by Samad and Sabariah. He is raised by Opah Piah and Atuk Mat after being abandoned by his own parents. Despite his limp, Idris is taught to be self-reliant and to work since childhood. He is a hardworking person, devoted to religion and respectful towards his parents. Opah Piah has given him farmland and an ancestral homestead. Ramlah (Fify Azmi) is a very intelligent person who has the opportunity to continue her studies abroad with Idris's help. She deeply loves Khadijah, the eldest of these four siblings who has cared for her since childhood.
