# Behind the Face The story follows Nadia (Diana Danielle) who wakes up from a coma after being involved in a terrible car accident and subsequently undergoing facial surgery. Without any memory of her past and unable to remember who she truly is, Nadia is haunted by illusions and phone calls from a mysterious voice ordering her to kill her own husband, Amir Hisyam (Aliff Aziz), who is an heir to a leading real estate development company in Malaysia. Nadia becomes increasingly confused when she begins to recognize a man named Fared Hanafi, also known as Red (Hefny Sahad), an investigative journalist who has a girlfriend and colleague named Elisa (Zarina Zainoordin) who went missing on the same day Nadia had her accident. These seemingly coincidental events motivate Red to conduct a more thorough investigation, and with Nadia's help, they continue to search for clues that lead to unexpected discoveries and the unveiling of true secrets.
Directed by Brian Patrick Lim, Di Sebalik Wajah leans on a strong ensemble — Diana Danielle, Aliff Aziz, Hefny Sahad — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about screen titles of 2017.
