
# Trauma The story follows six friends: Roza (played by Janna Nick), Budin (Saharul Ridzwan), Haneem (Zara Zya), Edi (Idris Khan), Faz (Raja Afiq), and Jaja (Dayana Roza) who get to know each other through a social media chatroom. They share one common experience: they have all experienced trauma in their lives. They decide to meet and take a vacation together by renting a bungalow. Roza volunteers to organize the vacation. When she goes to get the keys to the rental house from the neighbor, she is warned with a proverb: "does the crocodile reject the carcass." In fact, each person who enters the house's gate is warned by the neighbor with a different proverb. That night, they begin to share the things that caused them trauma. Strange events occur and they become unable to leave the bungalow.
Directed by Haji Azman Haji Yahya (Jinggo), Trauma | DFKL 2017 leans on a strong ensemble — Janna Nick, Saharul ridwan, Zara Zya — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about screen titles of 2017.
