About the adventure of three friends into a fantasy world to undertake a mission to return to their original time. Three best friends, Ian, Ping and Ruben, go camping in the forest. In the forest, they discover an old house and enter it. Suddenly they are threatened by an evil giant and try to flee for their lives. They attempt to find a way out of the house but get lost and exit through the back door of the old house. As soon as they step out of that door, they enter a mysterious fantasy world and undertake a mission to return to their original time.
Directed by C. Balachandran, Jalan Belakang Rumah leans on a strong ensemble — Muhd Shahidan, Ebenezar Ravyn Das, Bao-Quan Chong — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about screen titles of 2016.
