
A husband and wife live a life full of affection and care. The wife's work commitments cause the husband to become unfaithful with another woman and is subsequently diagnosed with HIV. The wife is disappointed by the situation, especially when her boss confesses his feelings for her at the same time. Aulia loves her husband, Muslim, deeply. Especially with Muslim's attitude towards her, which is very romantic and he is always talking about love. Muslim often creates romantic surprises for his wife. Meanwhile, Rahmat, who is Aulia's boss, always gives her a lot of work, forcing her to come home late. Aulia's feelings become mixed with anger and she hopes for her boss's consideration. Rahmat begins to treat Aulia well because he has actually fallen in love with her.
Directed by Helmi Yusof, Kalimah Cinta leans on a strong ensemble — Nina Iskandar, Idris Khan, Wanna Ali — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
