About Puss in Boots
After the old miller had died, his youngest son inherited just a cunning cat. The beast spent the last money of his master to buy himself boots and hat. Knowing that the king liked hazel-grouses the sly puss caught some of them, brought to the palace as a present and got a lavish gift from the king. And more! The sly animal managed to overpower the evil wizard and marry off his master with the king's daughter.
Directed by Aleksandr Davydov, Puss in Boots leans on a strong ensemble — Rob Paulsen, Gregory Gordon, Maurice LaMarche — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about animation titles of 1997.
