Tsuzuki had left the yakuza life behind to live as an honest salaryman and was even considering marriage to his girlfriend, Mayumi. One day, however, he agreed to temporarily hold onto a handgun for a senior yakuza associate. When he visited Mayumi’s apartment after work, he found her being assaulted by an ex-boyfriend who had been stalking her. Tsuzuki aimed the gun at the man but accidentally killed Mayumi instead. After serving time in prison, Tsuzuki became a hitman under orders from his boss...
Directed by Kinya Ogawa, Aiyokuyûgi nerawareta biketsu leans on a strong ensemble — Syoko Mikami, Mami Ogawa, Yuka Kato — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
