
Razif works with Mr. Suhaimi who sells illegally smuggled goods. While Razif is busy managing the buying and selling, police raid their place and he is arrested. Razif is interrogated and threatened with 15 years imprisonment if he does not cooperate. Razif is forced to become a witness against his former boss, criminal Mr. Suhaimi in court. Razif receives threats from the Cengkih Manis gang and police place Razif and his family into the Witness Protection Program to prevent them from being killed before the prosecution case. Razif's family is forced to disguise themselves and change their identities to become villagers. Hilarious incidents occur when Razif's family tries to adapt to the village situation.
Directed by Wan Hasliza Wan Zainuddin, Kampung People leans on a strong ensemble — Elly Mazlein, Rashidi Ishak, Riena Diana — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
