# Translation The story revolves around family conflict caused by the loss of a child. Ten years ago, Fara and her husband Razif went on vacation to an island with their children Daniel, who was 9 years old at the time, and Danish, 8 years old. Misfortune struck without warning—Daniel disappeared without a trace. Despite their extensive search for Daniel, he could not be found. Razif made a decision and asked Fara to take Danish and return to Kuala Lumpur first. At first, Fara insisted on staying, but she eventually returned after Razif promised to search for Daniel and would not come back to Kuala Lumpur without their son. A month later, Fara, who had been waiting in hope, was disappointed when Razif finally returned, but without Daniel. The loss of Daniel dealt a blow to Fara and Razif's relationship. Fara seemed to blame Razif for not keeping his promise. What made matters worse was the interference from relatives and Puan Salmah, Razif's mother, which added to Fara's stress.
Directed by Amor Rizan, Hilang Yang Kembali leans on a strong ensemble — Aqasha, Emelda Rosemila, Azhan Rani — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about screen titles of 2019.
