Eiji Izutsu, a young architectural engineer, suddenly came into a massive inheritance on the condition that he marry a woman named Chigusa Takemura, who owned a jade ring. If he failed to fulfill this condition, the inheritance would go to Chigusa instead.
Directed by Shigeo Nakaki, Byakuran kōran leans on a strong ensemble — Yoshiko Kuga, Akira Yamanouchi, Akiko Sawamura — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
