
A male student named Kenji Yamashita commits suicide at a high school in a town dominated by the local powerhouse Samejima family. It appears he was driven by overwhelming guilt after failing to stop his classmate and girlfriend, Kotaki, from being raped right before his eyes. However, Saki Kozai—Kenji’s homeroom teacher—finds the circumstances suspicious and sets out to uncover the truth. (Warning, exists in two different versions: the theatrical release is a pink film but the DVD release is an AV).
Directed by Daikei Shimizu, Onna kyôshi to oshiego: Zaimei, fujo, bôkô nari leans on a strong ensemble — Saki Kozai, Yui Kyôno, Miina Kotaki — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about screen titles of 2013.
