Kamar Kamariah

# Translation Kamariah, a former GRO who has recently repented after being immersed in vice. Her family does not know about her work. Kamariah's return is somewhat surprising but as a dutiful daughter who helps ease the family's burden, her decision is accepted calmly. Her mother Kalsom suggests that Kamariah marry Murad, the son of their acquaintance. Kamariah's father, Pak Manan, is reluctant because Murad is known as a wild youth. Kalsom tells him that Murad has reformed. At the beginning of their marriage, Murad is honest about his past behavior. Kamariah accepts Murad as he is but hides her own activities. In reality, Murad is still involved in vices and criminal activities in Kuala Lumpur. He only deceives his parents by marrying Kamariah. In front of his parents, he is a good son. Although he has many mistresses, Murad prioritizes Kamariah. Six months into their marriage, Murad begins to feel his life is more orderly and considers stopping his activities.

Directed by Raja Ahmad Alauddin, Kamar Kamariah leans on a strong ensemble — Nabila Huda, Fizz Fairuz, Tasha Shilla — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about screen titles of 2018.
