Nana is known as a lazy student who frequently arrives late to school. The reason she often uses is that the clock in her house is broken and doesn't ring. Her father, satisfied with this excuse, replaces the clock in Nana's room in hopes of a change. One day, before Nana returns to Kuala Lumpur, her grandmother gives her an antique clock that has changed Nana's life. Her playtime felt very short and study time became longer. She tries to throw away the clock but it keeps returning to her room. Nana tries various ways to get rid of the clock, even giving it to Teacher Liza on Teachers' Day, but the clock still returns to her room. Nana eventually accepts her fate and her life gradually changes for the better.
Directed by Emi Suffian, Nana Dan Jam Atok leans on a strong ensemble — Nur Qistina Raisah, Shukri Yahaya, Nur Nabila Mohd Razali — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about screen titles of 2019.
