
Gamal sings at local weddings. His brother Salah, a chemist, tries to convince him to quit drugs and gives him some weed that is made out of harmless substances. When a drug dealer grows impressed by Salah's formula, Salah succumbs to the temptation of money.
Directed by Ali Abdel-Khalek, El Keif leans on a strong ensemble — Mahmoud Abdel Aziz, Yehia El Fakharany, Noura — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 1985.
