Seward Sanitarium has been plagued by strange events, all following the takeover of a nearby abbey by Transylvanian Count Dracula. Visiting professor, Van Helsing, believes it to be the work of vampires, and when patients and staff begin turning up dead, realizes that he must act quickly to save the others.
Directed by Phillip Marshak, Dracula Sucks leans on a strong ensemble — Jamie Gillis, Annette Haven, John Leslie — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about comedy titles of 1978.
