In 1947, the Thule sect fled Berlin and settled in Lisbon. That same year, a series of disappearances and deaths caught the attention of journalist Vicente d'Orey, who began to investigate... Decades later, in 2005, Rodrigo d'Orey, a doctor at a morgue, stumbled upon the same mysterious crimes and continued the investigation begun by his grandfather. But the truth comes at a price!

Directed by Miguel Sanches Cunha, Sombras de Thule leans on a strong ensemble — Emanuel Arada, Alda Gomes, Patricia Adão Marques — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 2006.
