Lazybones is an idle baronet. He hasn't a care in the world until his father cuts him off without a penny. He then meets an American heiress & marries her but finds she has been disinherited as well. They find even more trouble in the shape of the American's cousin.
Directed by Michael Powell, Lazybones leans on a strong ensemble — Ian Hunter, Claire Luce, Bernard Nedell — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about comedy titles of 1935.
