About Adventurer's Fate
After being shot fleeing from a gunfight, the bandit Jaime falls to a riverbank, where is rescued by two beautiful young women. He becomes involved romantically with Dorothy, daughter of a farmer, and for her sake, surrenders to the police. Upon leaving the prison, Jaime has to face Xavier, a bloodthirsty villain who plans on taking revenge on Dorothy's father.
Directed by José Mojica Marins, Adventurer's Fate leans on a strong ensemble — Acácio de Lima, Augusto Pereira de Cervantes, Graveto — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 1958.
