Il tuffo

Physical laws and human relations. In Terni (in the center of Italy), during a hot summer, Matteo, 30-years old with a degree in physics but unemployed gives private lessons to Elsa and Giulio. The three of them soon become friends but Matteo and Giulio also become love rivals.

Directed by Massimo Martella, Il tuffo leans on a strong ensemble — Vincenzo Salemme, Carlotta Natoli, Arturo Paglia — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 1993.
