Directed by Kim Tae-yong, Ryoo Seung-wan, Han Ji-seung, Mad Sad Bad leans on a strong ensemble — David Lee, Park Jeong-min, Sohn Su-hyun — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about fantasy titles of 2014.
