An ex-convict, troubled by dreams that he strangles women, is hired as the caretaker on an estate owned by three very strange sisters. Soon after his arrival, a serial killer begins slaughtering blonde, blue-eyed women - and leaving their eyeballs in a bowl of water.
Directed by Carlos Aured, Blue Eyes of the Broken Doll leans on a strong ensemble — Paul Naschy, Diana Lorys, Maria Perschy — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about horror titles of 1974.
