About Century of the Dragon
Rookie policeman Shing gets assigned to go undercover, he is so successful in playing the part of a gang member that he becomes right-hand man to gang leader Lung. Shing comes to respect Lung and question his original motives, but the troubled cop must make a crucial decision before rival gangs and impatient cops move in for the kill.
Directed by Clarence Ford, Century of the Dragon leans on a strong ensemble — Andy Lau, Louis Koo, Patrick Tam — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about thriller titles of 1999.
