Wash Dry and Spin Out

This independent flick from writer-director Dan Patton follows the exploits of three dirty crooks who end up all wet. Flush with excitement after a successful robbery, amateur thieves Gil (Jason Morck) and Carl (Tyler Lindsay) grab their best friend, Jeff (Randy Thomas), to spend some money on celebratory alcohol. But their subsequent visit to an unlikely pit stop -- the local coin laundry -- is a washout when Carl starts attacking the customers.

Directed by Dan Patton, Wash Dry and Spin Out leans on a strong ensemble — Zoshka Mizak, Nicole Areu — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about screen titles of 2003.
