Set during the 1939–1940 Winter War, the film follows a group of young women from Leningrad who volunteer for service at the front. Through hardship and sacrifice, their courage forges bonds of friendship and love that endure amid the trials of war.
Directed by Viktor Eisymont, The Girl from Leningrad leans on a strong ensemble — Zoya Fyodorova, Andrei Abrikosov, Boris Blinov — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

In place of one of the dead hero was inserted another, and the born myth of the invincible Soviet soldier. The film 'Red Ghost' is about the hope that each soldier will have.
