About Karoliine's Silver Yarn
Karoliine is a spoiled and selfish princess who will meet swamp ogres and sleep fairies, a mermaid and a werewolf on her journey. A bunch of robbers will take her to their cave. Despite having a smart and helpful guide Kaspar with her, Karoliine has to get rid of her selfishness and inconsideration towards others. She is gradually becoming braver and good-hearted that will eventually lead her to the presence of real love.
Directed by Helle Karis, Karoliine's Silver Yarn leans on a strong ensemble — Chätrin Bagala, Martin Veinmann, Rein Aren — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about family titles of 1985.
