










Gabriele is engaged to Rainer who goes to war in 1914. When her father loses all his money she agrees to marry the affluent Robert. Then she is notified that Rainer has been wounded, is dying and has asked to see her one more time.
Directed by Arthur Maria Rabenalt, Regimentsmusik leans on a strong ensemble — Heidemarie Hatheyer, Siegfried Breuer, Gustav Waldau — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 1950.
